I can’t tell how satisfying the fund raising has been for the Habibiya Women Foundation this year. I have been so encouraged with the responses from all of you that I really want to take it to the next level. People from all over have inquired on two things in particular adoption on young babies and sponsoring kids on a regular basis. I am certainly looking into both and will soon share with of all of you very soon. On the fundraising front to date we have raised almost $15,000 of the target of $25,000. I have no doubt that we will be able to meet the target because there are so many generous folks out there who want to help to make a difference. Very soon I will begin a countdown….so help me get to the goal and exceed it if possible.

I told myself that I would be more regular in the blog posts, but the month of Ramadan is finally taking a toll on sleep patterns, but still there is some good things to report. We completed the AC project for Masjid Ibrahim on Sep 16 a two week delay due to some parts not coming on time. It seems like the community at the mosque is enjoying the cool climate in the buidling :-) Like to thank all of those folks who donated to the cause in getting the AC project completed. I was really amazed that it took 12 years to get AC for this mosque, but finally it is there!!

After thinking about having a non-profit and been doing fund raising for several other activities (cricket, some small local projects etc…), I finally decided enough efforts put in all different direction and let me concentrate on something where I can make a difference a larger impact. I would like to thank Amy Piazza, a colleague and friend, who really helped getting this website up and running in a weeks time. Keep checking back on a regular basis, as I will be trying to keep a quite an updated blog (notice I did not commit how often).
Also like to thank all the folks who encouraged me to start the foundation and now I hope with the help of my family and friends we can take on challenging projects and make a difference in communities around the world.
